Dear Praying Friends:
A songwriter
challenged us to, “Count your blessings, name them one by
one.”
Today, I am counting and found you on the list. Thank you
for your love, prayers and support. You are a blessing!
Despite the economic downturn, God has used His faithful
servants to continue giving so missionaries can go, take the
Light, teach all things He commanded, and train nationals
to teach others. Thank you for being so faithful to support
my ministry. While some churches have had to make the painful
decision to reduce or discontinue support to missionaries,
thankfully, others have been able to make some increases.
Somehow, the Lord has multiplied the dollars. I haven't picked
up 12 basketfuls, but my needs have been met. Your giving is
a blessing!
I feel uniquely fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve
the Lord full-time for 38 years. Thousands of students have
become like family. I am blessed!
I just returned from England where I taught at the Baptist Bible
College of Great Britain, prepared additional materials to be
utilized in annex classes and tried to be an encouragement to
several missionary families who are facing challenges. It is my
privilege to teach such receptive and grateful students - even
in English Communication classes. Their dedication to the Lord
and His service stirs my heart. Serving is a blessing!
Mother has had some recent health issues. Today, October 20, she
completes a 10-day hospital stay in Texas and begins 20 days of
rehabilitation. Please pray that her strength will increase and
I will be able to take her home soon. October 30, she will turn
100 years. She is a true Proverbs 31 woman. Her example is a
blessing!
I will be reporting to a church next month and available to do
additional reporting and Sunday School Training until the end of
January. I look forward to the work the Lord has planned for me.
